Bye bye summer

  Summer is officially gone. Hello cold weather! It was good while it lasted, but fall is here! Fresh and new! 
 We even had a couple of rainstorms with lots of thunders and lightnings. One thunderbolt fell really close to our apartment (scary) and as a result we have a dead modem... We know it's from that rainstorm, cause the same thing happened to our neighbors and they also have to buy a new modem, as well as a new computer. We still don't have a connection after a week (apparently this happened to many people around Greece)... I borrowed an old modem from our friend Georgia (thank you Georgia) just to check how you guys are doing!

 

 So let me share a summer day with you, just to keep the memories fresh! I've never mentioned that my dad is a boat captain (that's his job) and he owns a small fishing boat! So me and G. went for a ride!

 When I was young we used to do that very often! We also used it for fishing! Almost every weekend! Yes, I know how to fish with many different ways. (useless talent no. 83)!

 The day was windy and the trip was sooo bumpy, but fun!! My hat fell in the water, but we saved it! It is a hat from France after all, I couldn't leave it to drown. A special gift from my mother's best friend Anna! (snatched immediately).

 We then found a safe-from-the-wind beach and took a dive! I lost a contact lense! Oh.. the joys of nature!

 Back to present day: I found a job! I now work in a small tavern/bar (or tsipouradiko in greek). I cook and serve (it's not a big place) which means that I'm running around like a crazy person most of the times... I must have lost a couple of kilos in a week and the girl who worked there before me, lost 18 kg in 4 months. Working in Greece is getting kind of ridiculously hard, you know. On a happy note, maybe my next career is in modelling, haha! But more on that... later!


 Let's just focus on the lovely summer memories, shall we?

    Καλό Φθινόπωρο λοιπόν, αν και σ'εμας καθυστερεί ακόμα λίγο.
    Ωραίες οι εικόνες από το Ναύπλιο και φαίνεται ότι περάσατε πολύ καλά!
    Το πιο σημαντικό όμως απ'όλα είναι η καινούρια δουλειά. ΣΥΓΧΑΡΗΤΗΡΙΑ! Σίγουρα δεν είναι αυτό που ονειρευόσουνα πάντα, αλλά στην αναβροχιά, καλό και το χαλάζι. Όπως λες, έχουν δυσκολέψει ήδη πάρα πολύ τα πράγματα και πρέπει απλά να λέμε "Δόξα τω Θεώ" αν μπορούμε να έχουμε ένα ελάχιστο εισόδημα. Ε, κι αν είναι αυτή η δουλειά να σου ανοίξει δρόμο για το μοντελινγκ, χαλάλι το τρέξιμο! Τουλάχιστον θα βγεις από εκεί κορμάρα! ;-)

    ΑΑΑΑΧ!!! Το Ναυπλιοοοοοοο!!!!!! Πόσο πολύ μου αρέσει αυτή η πόλη! Είναι απλά υπέροχη και γραφική! Ξέρεις τι μου αρέσει πάρα μα πάρα πολύ; Υπάρχει κάπου ένα λιοντάρι σκαλιστό σε ένα βράχο...το είχε φτιάξει ένας τυφλός αν δεν κάνω λάθος. Είναι καταπληκτικό. Τέλος πάντων, τα πάντα στο ναύπλιο είναι υπέροχα! Και το Μπούρτζι και όλα! Μακάρι να μπορούσα να ξαναέρθω :) ΣΥΓΧΑΡΗΤΗΡΙΑ για την καινούρια δουλειά! Πλέον στην Ελλάδα είναι φοβερά δύσκολο να βρεις έστω και την πιο απλή δουλειά, γι' αυτό εύχομαι να την κρατήσεις για πολύ καιρό ακόμα! Ε, κι αν προκύψει καμιά πασαρέλα, παίρνεις ρεπό :Ρ :Ρ Α, κι εμένα ο μπαμπάς μου είναι ψαράς, αλλά εγώ είμαι τελείως άχρηστη στο ψάρεμα χαχαχα! Τι να κάνουμε; Δεν μπορώ να είμαι τέλεια σε όλα χαχαχαχα, εδώ γελάμε :Ρ Α, και φυσικά είμαι πολύ ευτυχισμένη που έσωσες το καπέλο! Θα ήταν μέεεεεγα κρίμα να πνιγεί (εκτός κι αν τύχαινε να βρίσκομαι στην παραλία που θα ξεβραζόταν!).
    Πολλά πολλά φιλιά! Εγώ απολαμβάνω τον τέλειο καιρο που έχουμε εδώ (αυτό είναι ψέμα :Ρ Ο καιρός είναι τέλειος, αλλά ΠΟΥ καιρός να τον απολαύσω!)

    You made me smile and laugh with this post. The lovely trip with your father was so touching and sweet. How wonderful to share that with your Dad.

    Congrats on the job, honey. I hope you have fun whilst running about. Being paid while sort of working out, is a good thing. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone as they say in America.

    Aww, loving these snapshots, looks like you had a lovely summer. So lucky you're in Nafplio, plus congrats on the job! I know it's always hardcore running about, it'll keep you fit for sure, but if you're anything like me, you'll end up eat well too!

    @Ally - You're right, I live in a really beautiful town! It's a famous touristic destination, especially for romantic couples! Thanks for the compliment - I was shy to take pics of me in a swimsuit, but I'm a blogger now! I can do it in the name of fashion!

    I wouldn't say that knowing how to fish is a useless talent! You never know, and at least you know you could always get some dinner out of the ocean! Aren't you lucky with such a lovely father, who owns a little fishing boat. You must have many wonderful memories with him and it seems you've made even more lovely memories with him this summer!

    Ooh, you look great! Congratulations on your new job, too. Finding work is so hard these days, I guess it's important to be thankful to just have a job. And if one can lose a little weight while doing it...that's even more to be thankful for!
