I suck at blogging (and other stories)

Hello boys and girls and imaginary blog readers out there!! How are you all doing??
If you have been reading my blog for a while you already know I suck at updating it! During August, I was busy having fun and this time I was busy being stressed out! Whatever the reason, I'll always be back and share with you though...!  So be patient and email me in between!! That's always welcome!
Now... I'm gonna nag about the new job - to make it a pleasant ride, I'll post a couple of outfits I wore during happy times in August. Ready?

Summer outfit I wore in a coffee meeting with my neighbor Aggeliki and her friend, Natasha. I had to take pics of us gorgeous girls of course! The lovely rose ring is a gift from my talented blog-friend Irini! She is a sweetheart and she makes some pretty awesome jewellery! Check her blog here and share the blog-love please!

Back to the coffee meeting: Aggeliki pretending to own somebody else's BMW.....

....the very stylish Natasha....

...and yours truly!

Earrings made by me - glasses made by Dior!

The new job is exhausting in every possible way. I changed my mind... I have two days off, so I'm gonna spare you good people with my nagging! On to the second outfit...

My lovely mom, gave me some vintage scarves a while ago. One of them inspired this "Mad Men meets the navy" outfit, which I thought is kind of acceptable and wore for a day of shopping downtown!

More earrings made by me and a beautiful scarf back from the 70's!

While I was absent from the blogging world, some great things happened!

1. I got an award from another good blog friend, Ermioni!

Ermioni is a new mommy who tries out and shares with us some pretty delicious recipes! Greek cuisine with a twist at "The one with all the tastes"!! Thanks for the lovely award dear! I'm supposed to write down "7 things about me", but this is a loooong post already, so check the previous "7 things about" me here if you're new around here!

2. Tracy made a vlog!! She is just amazing! Most of you probably know Tracy already, but if you don't (and you're inexcusable), go check her blog. Now. Go... What are you waiting for??

Many more great things must have happened, but my bloglovin' shows 493 unread posts. I must have missed something. I'll try my best to catch up! Kisses til next time! Φιλιά σε όλους!

Playing with textures!

 Welcome to my headless post!
Let's just focus on the outfit today...! Shall we? Hmmm....

Still proud of remixing (on my own), here is my outfit from last night at the movies! Puzzled of why the sun is so bright? Well, I absolutely hate taking pics with a flash, so I had to reconstruct the outfit this morning!
Notice the word morning here - like early morning without coffee first - and you can understand why my facial expressions just refused to co-operate, thus leaving me with head-less post pics.... And I am mean I tell ya, I decapitated all of them!

Back to the outfit, the weather is springy, but crazy: changing from wind, to sun, to clouds, to wind again! So why not mix seasons in my outfit too? Here I present a spring top  mixed with summer sandals, skirt and belt; and a winter bag and scarf! You call me "crazy homeless headless lady" - I call me "innovative and fashion advanced"!!Ha.

Fancy my air-crane pin? It's a company pin and I add it on bags and jackets, because I love that crane!
And you can also see my new  fashionable "bird-nest ring", out of real pearls and wire! On second thought, after 3 hours of bending wire it was kind of stupid to combine real pearls that cost 60 euro with 0,5 cents worth of wire... But I'll play the artist card and stick to it!!

By the way the movie we saw was "The Rite". Not the best movie ever, but kind of fun to watch, just for the sake of the talented sir Anthony!

Outfit:

Skirt - Sprider stores
Grey Top - Asos maternity
Belt&Scarf - both vintage, from mommy
Shoes - Urban Outfitters
Bag - "On pedder"
Necklace - gift
Ring - handmade

Bye-bye dears!

Black, brown and grey

I'm very proud of yesterday's outfit!! Not because I managed to combine black, brown and grey which I think is a combination that many people avoid....

....but actually because this is my first outfit that includes a pair of trousers since - wait for it... - 1999 maybe??
Yes, that's right - I didn't own a single pair of jeans or any other decent pair of pants (but for the occasional track suit pants for indoors use)for many years!

I believe that women should know and love their body as it is and of course dress accordingly. Being pear-shaped I was sticking to dresses and skirts, which is a very feminine look and it works for most of us, plus I was feeling more comfortable and light in them! But after leaving my 9-5 past behind me, after hitting 30 and moving back to Nafplio (my small hometown), it became pretty obvious that my wardrobe needs to be complemented with clothes that are practical (yet chic...)!

So, this was my first attempt!

Outfit:

Pants - local flea market (10 euro)
Blouse - Zara
Belt & grey Cardi - Urban Outfitters
Shoes - everyday flats (10 euro) from a flea market
Scarf -gift from my aunt!
Necklace - Asos
Hat - local accessories shop
Glasses - Just Cavalli

The hat follows the spirit of practicallity in this post - I just had THE worst haircut EVER!! That's another story - I'm not complaining - but you'll be seeing a lot of hats from now on....!
