Quickie outfit and some earrings

Hi friends! Thanks for all your nice comments about my hand getting better (tendinitis) and the positive feedback my jewellery is getting! It gives me a lot of hope!!
Here's the outfit I wore a couple of nights ago, to go to the Nafplio Rock Festival. It's a small music event where local bands gather once a year and perform live by the sea! So I wore a comfortable, wide skirt, which allowed to move freely and just lay on the sand!!

The skirt theme is pink flowers, so I made those earrings to match!! And here's an ugly pic from the concert - I broke my camera on top of everything - so more ugly pics will follow for sure!

 See you next time!

Hot girlz under the sun! (looong post)

Hello lovely readers of my almost abandoned blog!! I want to welcome all the new followers (I hope you like it here and you'll stick around) and thank the old ones for supporting me and for always leaving all your nice comments (which take time and effort and extra care, so I appreciate each and every one)!!
You people keep me going!!
This has been a week that flew by so fast... I did a lot of housework, some new jewellery making and a lot of protesting against I.M.F. and the current greek government! (for new readers - things in Greece are a little hectic lately! A lot of political and social action is going on and many of us are actively involved). I was also out of internet for 3 days due to some network malfunction or something!

On to some fashion pics now! Latest outfit I wore yesterday for a coffee in the sun with two friends! One of those friends is also my neighbor, which is so cool! Neighbors can be a real pain in the... you know, but when they are nice people that you get along, it's so great! I'm lucky that my neighbors are young and fashionable girls like me (and they love and support my jewellery too)! After the coffee and the catching-up I was trying to persuade them to take pics and show up in my blog.... The first reaction was this one...

.....but finally they changed their mind!

That's Χρυσάνθη (Chrysanthi)....
So it's nice to see some fresh faces around here (see? I do have friends! Some of them are not imaginary, they do exist!). It was fun to have some support while taking pics in public (I think by now I'm the town's "crazy lady" who takes pics of herself!).

And this is Γεωργία (Georgia), my neighbor.
Fun fact that most of you probably don't know: Can you see the blue building behind us? This is CHS - Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece, which is an annex of Harvard University in Europe!! Did you know we have Harvard students in our town? You do now!

Outfit:

Skirt - Sprider stores
Top - American Apparel (via Asos)
Scarf - Asos
Belt - Local shop
Shoes - Kill Doll
Glasses - Dior

Oh, I almost forgot!! Thanks everyone for voting in my poll! I took the outcome into consideration and thought about it a lot. Remixers have already started with the 30 for 30 summer remix. I won't join them this time!! I will be posting outfit pics of course...  I could even make a "top 30 summer outfits" to make it kind of more organized, but like Ashley said in her comment: "It's summer, it's supposed to be a relaxing period!".
So I won't commit to remixing this time! But stay tuned for more summer dresses, jewellery making, tutorials and a lot of greek craziness!! Love you - don't forget to keep smiling!

And a banner all my Greek followers will understand hopefully...!

A coffee in the sun and an outfit

Hello dears! Almost every day of last week, I've been working on the small hotel renovation. This is a lovely opportunity to wonder around in the center of Nafplio instead of the suburbs... It's such a lovely town with beautiful buildings and views everywhere! So you get to see some nice pics of the town, instead of the usual background of orange trees !!

For those of you who missed that post, I'm just helping out Rania (my mother's cousin), to freshen up her small lovely pansion in Nafplio. She's a very pleasant and nice girl and even though I'm not an interior designer professionally, I was more than glad to offer some help!! This is the lovely neighborhood the pansion is located and we're currently working on the top-floor/attic.

A lot of the talking and arranging takes place at the corner cafe across the pansion to combine business with small pleasures!

And this is a typical outfit of the working week in an attempt to be stylish, comfortable and weather appropriate! (the last being a bit difficult since the weather has gone nuts....)

Outfit:

Skirt - Sprider stores
Top - Sprider stores
Jacket - Ysatis
Shoes - Urban Outfitters
Bag - Hondos Center
Earings - handmade (by me)
Glasses - Dior

Today was one of those days (we chose fabrics)!. But now, I'm back home and we're listening to my amazing man's record collection! Yes, that's vinyl, thank you very much!!

I guess that when it comes to the dilemma of free time vs. money, we choose the first!! See you all next time! Stay happy!

Going bohemian with a summer dress

Greetings everyone! After my bad mood post, my lovely bf came home early on Friday and he decided to drag me out in an effort to cheer me up! We went to my favourite cafeteria and had a late branch, a little walk by the sea and bought some extra jewellery supplies from a lovely (and dead expensive!) little shop!! It's amazing how much your mood can change when you're around the people you love....

My brother and a friend joined us for branch, so we had fun and soon I was back to being me!

I even wore my contacts (that's very very rare!) and my favourite Dior sunglasses that I bought as a present to myself, after working really hard last summer. Now, you've noticed already that all my clothes and accessories are ridiculously cheap and I'm not in favour of huge brandnames. The sunglasses are NOT exactly that.... They practically cost as much as our rent, but I somehow managed to persuade myself, that this is an investment for the future! (nah....).

When I later saw the movie "Sex and the city", I realised Miranda was wearing those in Abu Dabhi!! YAY! My sunglasses were famous and I started jumping up and down the living room and acting like a 4-year-old that was given a candy!!
And this is how you can buy expensive eyewear you can't afford and not feel guilty about it! (bf still acting weird when someone mentions "Dior", "Abu Dabhi" or "Sex and the city"...btw...)

This is the town port and some cute boats that made me wish I could have one and travel all year long...!

We then returned home and went for a long walk with our dog Billy, around the neighborhood! (you can also see Billy and the rest of the family, here!)

Billy is super happy when we can both walk her! Normally she gets a short morning walk where each of us in turns is dragged around, without even having coffee first, by a super-excited doggie who wants to smell every single flower and pee in every single corner of the world!!
We specifically pee by the corner of this field every day, which is across our house and I had to take a picture! This is one of my favourite spots in the neighbourhood and it always makes me wonder how did that vintage car end up in there or those heavy constructing machinery and where they've been before. It's beautiful and kind of spooky, like an old machine cemetary or something! And the shadow you can see on top of the hill in the background, is the castle of Palamidi! (you can have a clearer view here).

The small tree behind me is an almond tree and when it blooms, it is considered to be a herald of spring in Greece!

Outfit:

Dress - "I&D" local shop
Sweater - local flea market
Belt - some accessory shop (7 euro)
Shoes - Local store
Earring - handmade (by a friend, Marianthi)
Bag - On Pedder
Glasses - Dior

Since I gave you a view of an almond tree, here's another of an olive tree and don't judge me please... no make up. I'm past 30 after all...!!!

SOON TO COME - After that I've been making jewellery during the whole weekend!! I even dream of designs when I sleep. I must have come up with 20 totally new designs! I promise a nice post with the new cuties soon!! Kisses
